FILM STORY
the making of a giant metal Heron Sculpture
In a warehouse filled with sparks and noise, artist Julia Alora and her team at Portal Arts Collective bring a heron to life. Heron’s Embrace is a story of creation through chaos—finding form in uncertainty, and discovering how something extraordinary can take flight when many hands build as one.
This episode follows Julia as she shares what drew her to Portland and the community connections that became her chosen family. Together, they create something bigger than the sum of its parts—a luminous testament to collaboration, belonging, and the power of shared vision.
